Girls' Weekend in Houston: Luxury, Shopping & Unforgettable Dining
Houston, you have our hearts! This past weekend, I had the absolute best time with my two best friends from high school. We all went to high school outside of Houston in Kingwood, so this city has always held a special place in my heart. Coming back together for a girls’ getaway here felt like a perfect mix of nostalgia and new adventures!
Bari Ristorante in Houston, Texas
Where We Stayed: The Four Seasons Houston
The Four Seasons Houston was the perfect home base for our weekend. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we felt wrapped in luxury. The service was impeccable, and we loved the rooftop pool, which felt like our own private oasis.
The rooms at the Four Seasons are spacious, elegant, and designed with comfort in mind. We loved sinking into the plush beds with their fluffy pillows. If you're traveling with a larger group or just want more space, you can book a two-bedroom suite on the residential side, which offers the same luxurious experience with added privacy and room to spread out.
But the real highlight? The Four Seasons allows guests to rent luxury handbags from Vivrelle, a high-end membership club. Carrying designer bags for the weekend? Yes, please! We had so much fun switching out different bags for our outings—it felt like playing dress-up in the best way possible.
Best Dining Experience Ever: Bari Ristorante
I don’t say this lightly: Bari Ristorante in Houston was one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. Nestled in the heart of the city, Bari serves up modern Italian cuisine that left us absolutely speechless. Every dish was perfect, from the handmade pasta to the freshest seafood. One standout was their Scarlet Crab, delicately prepared with butter and fresh herbs—every bite melted in our mouths. The ambiance was lively, the service was top-notch, and we left already planning a return visit. If you’re in Houston, this restaurant is a must.
Dinner & Speakeasy at Four Seasons: Toro Toro & Bandista
Toro Toro in the Four Seasons, Houston
For dinner one night, we stayed in-house and dined at Toro Toro, the Four Seasons elevated Pan-Latin steakhouse. The flavors were bold, the presentation was stunning, and the cocktails were expertly crafted. The Wagyu beef and seafood dishes were absolute standouts! The real showstopper, however, was the table side Tomahawk steak experience. The server brings out the massive cut of meat and, using fresh rosemary branches bastes it with butter before flaming the steak right in front of you. It was an unforgettable, theatrical dining moment that made our meal even more special.
After dinner, we ventured to Bandista, the Four Seasons hidden speakeasy, for an after dinner drink. The intimate atmosphere, creative cocktails, and hidden-door entrance made it feel like a secret gem in the heart of Houston. It was such a fun way to end the night!
Shopping Spree: Town & Country Mall & VIP Talbots Experience
Catie Keogh & Friends enjoying shopping in Houston, TX
No girl’s weekend is complete without some shopping! We made our way to Town & Country Mall in the Memorial area, which has a fantastic mix of high-end and boutique shops. The real treat, however, was our private VIP shopping experience at Talbots. If you call ahead, you can book this special service, and let me tell you—it’s worth it! We had a personalized shopping session with their team and left feeling like royalty. It was such a fun and exclusive touch to our trip!
More Things to Do for a Girls’ Weekend in Houston
Houston in the spring is a dream, with warm weather and so much to do. Here are a couple of other activities that made our itinerary even better:
1. Brunch at Tiny Boxwoods
One of the most charming brunch spots in Houston, Tiny Boxwoods feels like a hidden garden escape. The food is delicious (order the famous chocolate chip cookies!), and the outdoor seating is perfect for a leisurely start to the day.
2. Spa Day at Trellis Spa at The Houstonian
After shopping and exploring, book a treatment at Trellis Spa at The Houstonian. It’s one of the most luxurious spas in Texas, with an outdoor soaking pool, steam rooms, and incredible massages. Pure bliss!
3. Cocktails with a View at Z on 23
Sip cocktails at Z on 23, Houston’s highest open-air rooftop bar. The skyline views at sunset are breathtaking, and it’s a perfect way to toast to your girl’s weekend.
